John J. Miceli

Biography

John is an associate at Kopecky Schumacher Rosenburg LLC who focuses his practice on business and securities litigation. John has successfully represented national and multinational corporations in federal and state courts. His research, writing, and communication skills have allowed to him present clear and concise arguments on behalf his clients. John’s attention to detail and strategic approach to complex matters provides his clients a distinct advantage.

Prior to joining KSR, John spent multiple years as a litigation attorney for a Chicago-based firm where he focused his practice on defense of commercial, construction, premises liability, and transportation claims. John also worked as an extern for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) where he developed and pursued enforcement actions against FINRA members. After FINRA, John worked as a law clerk at KSR representing and defending firms and individuals subject to investigation and disciplinary proceedings by the SEC, FINRA, NFA, and other regulatory agencies. He also assisted KSR’s partners in defending cases involving breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, and shareholder disputes.

John is a member of the Justinian Society of Lawyers and the Chicago Bar Association. At Loyola University Chicago School of Law he was a Student Clinician at the LUC Business Law Clinic where he represented small businesses and not-for-profit organizations. John also served as the Vice President of the Justinian Society of Lawyers and as a member of the LUC Business Law Society. At Loyola, John was named to the Dean’s List in 2017, 2018, and 2019. 

John earned his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a B.A. in economics from the University of Iowa. He was selected as a recipient of the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America Award 2023 for his work in Construction Litigation and Insurance Law.
