Firm Secures Summary Judgment in COBRA Action

February – 2020 A federal court in the Northern District of Illinois has ordered summary judgment in favor of the firm’s client, a healthcare company. The plaintiff had alleged that the client violated provisions of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985, otherwise known as COBRA. The court granted the company’s motion for summary judgment, finding that “no reasonable juror could find in favor of the plaintiff.” Howard Rosenburg handled the case for the firm.
