KSR Defeats $7 million Commodities Fraud and Trade Secrets Claims
November 2023 – A National Futures Association arbitration panel found in favor of KSR’s clients, a nationally recognized futures commission merchant, introducing broker and several individual respondents, and denied all claims brought by the claimant. The claimant sought $7.1 million in damages, alleging that KSR’s clients engaged in, among other things, fraud, misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of fiduciary duty. Following a four day hearing, the arbitration panel found in favor of KSR’s clients and denied all claims against them with prejudice. Additionally, KSR obtained an attorney’s fees award in the amount of $228,806.00. Marty Doyle and Jim Kopecky handled the case for the firm.
